SNAP Camp

The S.N.A.P. (Student Nutritional and Athletics Program) Camp was created to assist underprivileged refugee children in understanding the fundamentals of various sports, form a sense of sportsmanship and teamwork, aid in understanding the importance of proper nutrition and provide an environment for these children to meet volunteers who can stress the importance of receiving an education while simultaneously teaching the children how to excel in sports and life. The program is also designed to educate ten to fourteen year-olds how to live a healthy lifestyle. Volunteers will be coaching the students one-on-one and demonstrate proper technique, all the while instilling the essence of teamwork, good sportsmanship and self-esteem. Children will be educated on several topics pertaining to nutrition and dental hygiene.

If you are interested in becoming a volunteer or assisting in any other way, please info@erootha.org if you are interested.

The program exceeded my expectations. I didn't feel as if I were donating my time to volunteer. I looked forward to the program each week!
